Life is easier WITHOUT PAIN

I was initially introduced to the John Barnes method of Myofascial Release via my Equine Physical Therapy practice. Due to the remarkable effect this therapy had on the horses, I wanted to experience it for myself.

After receiving my first 6 hours of treatment, I was able to release 19 years of PTSD from a serious horseback riding accident. The experience was so profound that I decided to change careers and become a Myofascial Release Therapist for humans. I'm now pain free and have returned to all my activities without any limitations or restrictions. I am back to riding, competing, and loving my life!!!

My number one priority is helping YOU achieve freedom from the pains and tensions preventing you from living YOUR life as fully as possible. I can't wait to see what's possible for you!

Gwen Bernardo, MFR Therapist, CMT

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a John F. Barnes trained Myofascial Release Therapist with over 13 years of clinical and hands-on experience.

My personal journey into Myofascial Release Therapy began in 2015 after a life altering event. My habits, relationships, alcohol use, self care, and food choices all had to be reassessed. I didn't realize it at the time, but the skills I learned through Myofascial Release would help lead me to insights and clarity with my own mental struggles and physical injuries.

Myofascial Release has given me first hand experience with the body's ability to store trauma but also its innate wisdom to heal. By adopting the principles of MFR, I have gained more clarity in my body and life.

As someone who is physically active, MFR helps me to recover quickly and stay doing what I love…surfing, hiking, dancing, and ju jitsu!
